First Place in C-USA East on Line between Tigers and ECU in Football

Now to College Football where the Memphis Tigers have their biggest game in years tomorrow at the Liberty Bowl.

A win over first place East Carolina and the Tigers will take over the top spot in Conference USA's East division.

Last season at ECU the Tigers led the Pirates 20-7 before Martin Hankins threw 5 interceptions in the 2nd half and lost 35-to-20.

Hankins says:

"That's my big thing is learning from my mistakes and concentrating on managing a game, not trying to win it. The coaches have let me do that the last 2 weeks."

Wide Receiver Maurice Jones adds:

"Hopefully wen can play good in the 2nd half and 4th quarter this time."

And Memphis Head Coach Tommy West says:

"They've played a really good schedule and have played well. They're turn over ratio is great. They're number 1 in the league and we're second in the league."

Kickoff set for 1pm Saturday at the Liberty Bowl.
