Ford Family Mansion

Three teens are charged with setting the fire that destroyed the former Ford family home.  The 85 year old mansion at Parkdale went up in flames Thursday. 12 year old Steven Brown, 13 year old Marshaunn Liggins and 14 year old Delvon Wash are charged with Felony arson. Both Liggins and Wash have arrest records that include carrying a weapon on school campus, disorderly conduct, theft of vehicle, domestic assault and theft of property. For about 15 years the home belonged to the late Shelby County commissioner Dr. James Ford. His brother Ed Ford had vivid members of the dinner parties held there. "You had Al Gore, you had all the Tennessee general assembly," said Ford.

"The last dinner before he passed I think there was about 500 people there."

The 3 teens are locked up in the juvenile detention center. They are expected to have a court date within the next two weeks.
