Casting call planned in Memphis for Oliver Stone movie

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Director Oliver Stone is looking for some Memphis talent to appear in a Vietnam War epic he plans to shoot in Thailand over the winter holidays.

He's looking for white men aged 20 to 50 years old who could play soldiers from the 1960s.       The Oscar-winning director of "Platoon" plans a casting call at the FedExForum on November 17th.

The movie "Pinkville" stars Bruce Willis as an Army general investigating the 1968 My Lai massacre.

The only other casting call for the movie will be in New York.

Stone previously worked in Memphis as a producer on 1996's "The People vs. Larry Flynt," which was mostly shot in the city.
