Severe weather moves across the region

Severe weather swept through the Mid-South Wednesday afternoon, leaving damage in its wake.

In the Rosemark area of Shelby County, straight line winds partially blew the roof off of a house.  No injuries were reported.  A Shelby County Fire Department official said trees and power lines were blown down in several areas around the county.

In Millington, a trailer park reportedly suffered damage.  There was no word on any injuries.

Pea to dime size hail was reported across much of the Mid-South, including Dyersburg.

In Lauderdale County, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported several trees blown down.  Authorities in Lauderdale County also responded to the scene of a weather related traffic accident, where a semi reportedly overturned on Highway 51 near the Dyer County Line.

Also in Lauderdale County, witnesses reported that a roof was blown off a home on Edith Nanki Poo Road.

Damage was reported across Tennessee.  Officials said a mobile home in White County suffered major damage as severe storms swept across Middle Tennessee.
