Cyrus wants "Hannah Montana" movie to be filmed in Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus wants the first feature film based on his daughter Miley's wildly popular Disney show to be shot in Tennessee.

But a state official said Tennessee will have to match financial incentives offered by Louisiana.

Miley Cyrus, star of "Hannah Montana," plays high school student Miley Stewart, who lives a secret double life as a famous pop star. Billy Ray Cyrus also plays her father in the show.

The family was in Tennessee for Thanksgiving during a stop on her sold-out tour.

Cyrus said he thinks Tennessee can compete for the film, which is scheduled to start shooting in April and expected to be released in late 2008 or early 2009.
