Tuesday home invasion possibly related to massive drug bust

Memphis Police are investigating a Tuesday morning home invasion that may be related to a large drug bust carried about by Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies over the weekend.

The incident happened at a home at the end of Cloudburst Cove around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Investigators said five men broke into the home, tied up the five residents that were inside, and beat them up.  Several of the victims were taken to The MED in critical condition.

The home appears to be owned by the same family who owns two businesses tied to the million dollar drug bust carried out over the weekend by Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies.

Officers wearing gloves and face masks, as well as a drug sniffing dog, could be seen entering and leaving the house Tuesday.

Late Tuesday, police remained very tight-lipped about their investigation at the home, and what it uncovered.

The suspects in the home invasion remain at large.
