The University of Arkansas' patience in picking a new head football coach was rewarded by a coach who wanted out of the NFL after less than a season on the job.
Bobby Petrino was introduced as the Razorbacks New Top Hog late Tuesday night, just hours after he abruptly resigned from the Atlanta Falcons.
The move gives Arkansas a Big-Name catch to replace Houston Nutt...who bolted the Ozarks two weeks ago for Ole Miss..
Petrino enjoyed great success coaching the University of Louisville to Top 10 Status before leaving for the Pros last year.
"I knew I wanted to come back and coach in college football. I want to be able to help mold him and have him reach his goals.">
Petrino gets a 5-year deal worth more than $2.8 Million dollars a year..
Now that's less than the $24-Million dollar 5-year deal he got in Atlanta...but Petrino was miserable there, with the Falcons playing without convicted dogfighter Michael Vick, their Franchise Player.
