Humane Society investigates kitten abuse

According to the Memphis Humane Society someone brutally beat and then strangled a kitten with a plastic wrapper.
Alorien Sadler lives at the Greenbrook apartments, she found a cat in the parking lot when she got home Thursday afternoon.

Sadler took video, called out humane society investigators, and then called Action News Five.

"When people do that type of stuff to animals you think were they brought up this way?  Did they do that when they were younger? And if they're going to torture an animal, who's to say they wouldn't torture a human being, and who's to say they haven't already," Alorien Sadler said.

Action News 5 spoke to investigators at the humane society. They are looking into this case.

The humane society said they've received more than 600 animal cruelty complaints so far this year. They add that Alorien Sadler did the right thing by calling them to report this particular case.

If you suspect someone of animal cruelty you can call the Memphis Humane Society at 901-937-3900.
