Shooting at Memphis motorcycle club leaves one dead, another injured

A shooting early Sunday morning at a south Memphis motorcycle club left one person dead and another injured, police said.

According to investigators, the shooting happened shortly after 1:00 a.m. Sunday at the Royal Knights Motorcycle club, in the 600 block of Mississippi.  Investigators said during a domestic disturbance inside the club, a man shot a woman.

As the shooting suspect left the club, other patrons reportedly fired shots at him.

Police said as patrons apparently shot at the suspect, another man was leaving the club in his car.  As that man drove towards the front of the club, he struck a parked car.  Officers discovered that man had also sustained a gunshot wound.  He died at the scene.  Investigators said the man has not yet been positively identified.

The female victim was taken to the Regional Medical Center in Memphis in non-critical condition.

Authorities said the incident was still under investigation.  People with information that could aid investigators were asked to call Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
