Friends remember Emily Hendryx following deadly crash

At 19 years old, Emily Hendryx was a member of the Air National Guard and a graduate of Horn Lake High School. She worked in Olive Branch, but lived in Walls, Mississippi. A tiny town rocked by her death.

Wednesday afternoon, Hendryx was heading to work. She was driving southbound on Highway 61. Her car somehow crossed the median then slammed headfirst into another car heading northbound. Hendryx died on scene.

We made contact with her family. Through tears, they said that her death is too difficult to talk about right now.

However, on her MySpace page, there were scores of friends posting messages in a show of sorrow.

One says, "I love you girl. Keep looking out for us down here."

Another said, "Emily, you are an amazing person. Rest in Peace. You will always be remembered. Never forgotten. Take care."
