Wild weather brings cold temperatures across the country

Across the country, Mother Nature is going to extremes this week.

In the West, they are getting ready for what could be a record snowfall.

Snow fell in the Pacific Northwest, and some estimates said there could be up to eight feet in the Sierras by the weekend.

In Florida, beach goers bundled up. There was also a battle to save millions of dollars in produce.

Farmers sprinkled water on the crops, coating them with an insulating layer of ice. Thursday morning it appeared a deep freeze was avoided. Florida accounts for the three quarters on the nations produce this time of year.

Thursday night could be another cold night in Florida, forcing people in the sunshine state to think about something else.

It also leaves many people across the country wondering what else the wild weather has in store.
