One of two Arkansas jail escapees caught in Memphis

FORDYCE, Ark. (AP) - Police say one of the two men who escaped the Dallas County jail earlier this week has been captured in Memphis, Tenn.

Police arrested 26-year-old David Shannon Ray late Thursday night at a hotel. Authorities say Ray had a BB pistol, but did not resist arrest. Deputies are still searching for Ray's 20-year-old cellmate Humberto Fortanelli.

Deputies in Dallas County noticed the men missing Monday after they apparently broke out a bullet-resistant window in their cell to escape.

Ray was being held on an aggravated robbery charge out of Clark County. Fortanelli was being held on criminal attempt to commit murder and other charges out of Hot Spring County.
