Tuesday storm leaves behind destruction

As the storms marched across the Mid-South, they left behind a trail of destruction.

In the Driver, Arkansas area, there were reports that a tornado trapped a woman in her home. Driver, Arkansas is about an hour north in Mississippi County.

The Dyersburg State Gazette reported a string of homes north of Halls were destroyed or heavily damaged shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported the tornado touched down along Bruceville Slab Road.

Dyer County Sheriff's Department reported no injuries associated
with the storm.

A tornado is also being blamed for killing a woman in Central Arkansas. The storm hit the eastern part of Pope County, one mile southeast of Appleton where it damaged buildings and trees. Pope County 911 said the had also gotten calls of some injuries.

The storms started yesterday in Northwest Arkansas. A tornado touched down in Bentonville Monday night. A twister was reported northeast of Decatur just after 8 o'clock Monday evening. Half-dollar sized hail was reported along the Missouri border.
