4 year old injured by hit and run

A car hit a 4 year-old boy near Sharpe Elementary at the intersection of South Highland and Sharpe Avenue. The 4-year-old was rushed to Le Bonheur in stable condition.  Meanwhile the search for the hit and run driver continues.

The hit and run left parent Krishun Carter with some images he will never forget.

Carter said the driver who hit four year old Antoine Moore also side swiped his car that was parked in front of the school and drove off.

"And as he hit my car the little boy was still under the car," Carter said.

Carter said he was dropping a child off at the school this morning when the hit and run driver sped by.  He thought the driver may have been dropping someone off at the school, too.

Carter said another child and an adult woman were walking in the school's crosswalk when the car sped passed.

Carter said the crosswalk is marked and it's flashing lights were working.

The car was a silver dodge charger with tinted windows and personalized plates.

Police ask anyone with information to call Memphis Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH.
