Officials still wait for owner of "Tiger" to come forward

Ever since the tiger attack, dozens of people have contacted the animal hospital where "Tiger" is being treated hoping she is their missing pet.
"She's been sitting up and has wagged her tail some today she's feeling quite a bit better," Clarita Atkinson of the Animal Emergency Center said.

Once news got out about what happened, people from across the country and as far away as Canada have called about the dog.

"We've had calls from New York, Texas, California, Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Canada so far today some thinking its their dog. Not sure how it got to Tennessee but they still think it might be their dog," Atkinson said.

The latest call came Thursday afternoon.

"They had described that their dog had very crooked teeth and this pet has very straight beautiful teeth," Atkinson said.

Hospital staffers say when the correct owner comes forward, they hope they will be able to prove ownership by describing the unique collar the dog was wearing when she was brought in.
