Dexter Cox had prior incidents on criminal record

According to arrest records, Cox, who is 18-years-old, has finished 11th grade, but has not graduated from high school.

It is unclear if Cox is currently enrolled at any local school.

Monday, the Action News 5 Investigators pulled Cox's criminal record.  First on the list were charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and disorderly conduct.

Cox was arrested last Wednesday at a house directly across the street from Frayser High School.  That arrest lead to the second charge on the list, first degree murder.  Cox is accused of killing longtime Memphis Police Lt. Ed Vidulich.

Investigators said they plan to add two other murder charges to Cox's wrap sheet. One for the October 9, 2007, murder of Gwendolyn Smith Cherry. The second for the October 26th, 2007, murder of Herbert Wooten.

Before those murders, on July 24th, 2007, Cox was arrested for aggravated robbery and evading arrest. He was released without being charged.
