the Hometown NBA team welcomes Kwame Brown to the Bluff City.
Brown arrived in Memphis late Saturday from Los Angeles as part of the Blockbuster Trade that sent Grizzlies Franchise Player Pau Gasol to the Lakers..
The 7'Foot, 270 pound Center Brings his $9-Million Dollar Salary to the Forum....exactly what the Grizzlies want to use as an expiring contract..
But, Brown says he sees Memphis as a good situation for him.
"1 didn't get to play a lot in LA, they play a lot of back to the basket stuff. This is more of a flow game that allows me to use quickness. I'm going to continue my defense and hopefully I can get some nice moves in the paint also."
Adds Grizzlies Head Coach Marc Iavaroni:
"He said it's a lot different practice than in LA. The Bigs can actually lead the break here and he liked it. It's more demanding but I alos think it's gonna make him a better, more versatile player. It's also gonna help Darko's development and Darko will help his development."
Grizz Top Draft Pick Mike Conley also returned to the practice floor Monday morning after sitting out the past week with a bruised chest.
He could be cleared to play in the Grizzlies next game Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks at FedExForum.
