Sumner County man identified as state's 32nd storm victim

GALLATIN, Tenn. (AP) - A Sumner County man has been identified in the latest death from this month's severe weather that spawned dozens of tornadoes, raising the state's death toll to 32.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said 26-year-old Lee Carter Perry died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from injuries suffered when a tornado ripped through the mobile home he shared with his father in Castalian Springs.

His death was first reported Monday, raising the count in Sumner County to eight. Perry's father, Roger Perry, was killed immediately by the twister almost two weeks ago.

TEMA spokesman Jeremy Heidt said a couple more people remain hospitalized in critical condition. More than 190 people were injured in the Feb. 4-5 storms throughout the state.
