With the NBA All-Star Break over, it's time to get back down to Business for the Memphis Grizzlies..
That Business may not necessarily include winning games, but identifying the future of the Franchise..
One Future is already present...
That's cultivating rising star Rudy Gay into premier status.
The Second Year Forward from UConn is already wowing the League with his leaping ability, being picked for the Slam Dunk Contest...and being selected for the Rookie/Sophomore All-Star Game..
A Dominant in Game Dunker, Gay can also light it up from long range and perform under pressure..
He's knocked down late game shots against some of the NBA's Best..
With Pau Gasol now gone to the Lakers...Gay ponders his role as the New Face of the Franchise:
"You know, I don't think we really have an identity yet... It's like all of us are stepping up to the plate. What needs to happen down the line is somebody needs to lead by example...whether that's me, Mike, Hakim..it doesn't really matter. But, as long as we get some wins out of it, learn...and get better as a team, that's all that matters."
The Grizzlies next home game is Friday night at FedExForum against Jason Kidd, Dirk Nowitzke and the new look Dallas Mavericks.
