Tennessee Lottery announces new game, Lotto Plus

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Lottery is rolling out a new game that will offer jackpots starting at $1 million.

"Lotto Plus" tickets go on sale Sunday and the first drawing will be Tuesday.

Lottery President and CEO Rebecca Hargrove says the game answers a call from Tennesseans asking for the state's own lotto game with high jackpots.

The $1, six-number game will offer prizes for a minimum of three matches. If there are no perfect matches, jackpots will be boosted by at least $100,000 per drawing on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The lottery is also renaming the former Lotto 5, calling it "Pick 5." Now just two matches can win, instead of three.
