Deputies make seizures as part of on-going investigation

Multiple law enforcement agencies raided three different properties in Shelby County Tuesday as part of an ongoing investigation involving the District Attorney General's White Collar Crime Task Force.

Shelby County Sheriff's Deputies seized property at three locations - a business on Shelby Oaks, a home in Lakeland, and three suites in a business complex on Trinity Road.

The White Collar Crimes Task Force, the Food and Drug Administration, the United States Postal Inspector's Office, the Tennessee Department of Revenue, and the Shelby County Sheriff's Department were all involved in Tuesday's searches.

Officials said the search warrants were served to investigate illegal business practices involving herbal remedies, but would not release any specific information because their investigation was on-going.

Hazmat crews were called because of a strong odor at one of the locations.

On Trinity Road, one of the suites was identified as "Bethesda Contract Manufacturing".

Officials said the District Attorney General is expected to release more information about the raid on Wednesday.
