The state Grand Jury for Shelby County indicted four co-defendants for the murder of a University of Memphis football player last September, officials said Thursday.

The Grand Jury indicted Courtney Washington, 23, Victor Trezevant, 21, Daeshawn Tate, 22, and Devin Jefferson, 21, each for first degree murder in the perpetration of attempted robbery.

According to an affidavit of complaint, 21-year-old Taylor Bradford was shot and killed last September while inside his vehicle on Tiger Paw East on the campus of the University of Memphis.

Bradford, a member of the University of Memphis football team, lived on campus.  The Shelby County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled his death a homicide.

Memphis police arrested the four co-defendants in early October.  Each defendant is being held in the Shelby County Jail on at least $1 million bond.

None of the defendants have been arraigned.
