Suspects charged in Midtown bar brawl

Three suspects are in jail in connection with a Midtown barroom brawl that injured more than one dozen people.

27-year-old Calvin Wilkins, 26-year-old Patrick Wilkins, and 44-year-old Jamie Stevens were each charged with aggravated assault in connection with an incident earlier this week at Neil's Bar & Grill, 1835 Madison.

Beer bottles and pool cues were reportedly used as weapons during the early-morning fracas.

A bartender confronted the suspects when they were caught attempting to steal beer from a cooler. The bartender was struck with a beer bottle and brought to The Regional Medical Center in critical condition, but later released.

Stevens rammed the rear of her gold Saturn into the front of a squad car in an attempt to escape Memphis police. The police vehicle's siren and emergency lights were activated at the time.

Officers removed occupants from the vehicle and took them into custody.
