Trial for former Olive Branch police aide rescheduled

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. (AP) - The DeSoto County embezzlement trial of a former Oliver Branch police aide has been rescheduled for May 19.

Forty-one-year-old Melanie Dawn Comans resigned last June as a police department administrative assistant.

Comans was charged with allegedly embezzling more than $500 from Olive Branch while in charge of accepting fees the police department charges for copies of accident reports.
