Memphis boy killed in Saturday night hit-and-run

A two-year-old boy was killed Saturday night in a hit-and-run in a parking lot in Memphis.

According to Memphis police, the incident happened just after 7:00 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Wash World Laundromat, located in the 1300 block of Getwell, near Fizer.

The suspect's vehicle, described as a silver Ford Expedition, was backing up when it struck the child as he and his father were walking into the laundromat.  The suspect drove away, heading north on Getwell.
