U of M Assistant Takes Over as Head Coach at UMass

The Tigers success over the last 3-years is paying Dividends for Calipari's Assistant Coaches.

Longtime Benchmate Derrick Kellogg has reached a deal that will make him the next Head Coach at Umass...his Alma Mater. The Official Announcement is Wednesday.

Kellogg played for the Minutemen under Coach Cal, and has spent the last 8-years on Calipari's staff at Memphis.

DK is regarded as one of the top young assistants in the nation, and is a well connected recruiter.

He inherits a Umass team that won the N-I-T and finished 25-and-11 this season.

Tiger Assistant Chuck Martin took the Head Coaching Job at Marist last week.
