Body of missing Clarksdale mother found

A missing Mississippi mother has been found dead.

Officials said 27-year-old Katrina Dumas and her three-year old son were missing for several days in Clarksdale, MS.

Family members called Clarksdale police Wednesday to report that 27-year-old Katrina Dumas and her son, Fred Dumas, were missing.

Authorities said the toddler was found Thursday near Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The boy had marks from being tied up and had suffered numerous insect bites while on the ground.

Authorities said Katrina Dumas' parents, Johnny and Catherine Dumas, were notified by a granddaughter that Katrina had not picked up the boy from school at the scheduled time Wednesday.

Later that day, relatives spotted Katrina Dumas' gold Cadillac being driven in Clarksdale by someone other than her and they alerted police.

Late Friday evening, the body of Katrina Dumas was found about a mile behind a church on Highway 1 in a wooded area.
