The LATCH System

New cars will be safer for your kids. 2003 models will have a new standard safety device in cars and car seats. The LATCH System, or lower anchors and tethers for children, consists of two hooks, a belt, and a clip. It will help parents properly install child car seats and booster seats.

"It's going to make it a whole lot easier because a lotta people don't understand their belt systems and it should resolve the compatibility issue for almost every car seat on the market." says certified installation specialist Carol Helminski.
