Cordova woman makes threats after camera catches her running light

A Cordova woman is facing harassment charges after Germantown police said she wrote threatening emails to city officials.

It all started when a Germantown red light camera caught her car running a red light. The woman, identified as Allison Reed, recieved the photos in the mail, along with a ticket for $50.

When the ticket showed up her mailbox, Germantown police say Reed started emailing serious threats to a number of Germantown city officials.

According to a report by the Commercial Appeal, in one of those emails, Reed said, "Take them (the traffic cameras) down or your entire staff will be removed either with force or death."

Reed is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation.
