The Memphis Redbirds lost Tuesday night in Las Vegas 8-to-2..but you can't blame it on Mark Mulder.
As a matter of fact, the Gamble the Parent St. Louis Cardinals are taking on their All-Star Pitcher is on hold for a while.
Tests done in St. Louis Wednesday show Mulder has a mild Rotator Cuff strain on his left shoulder...
That's causing the Cardinals to stop his injury rehab assignment in Memphis.
He's coming back from 2-shoulder operations.
Mulder has pitched twice for the Triple-A- Redbirds in the last week, getting shelled both times, giving up 18-hits and 14 runs.
The Cards plan to rest Mulder for 7-to-10 days before re-evaluating him.
