In NBA News, come July, Billy Knight will no longer be General Manager of the Atlanta Hawks..
He's resigning his position, despite leading the Hawks to their first Playoff appearance in 9-years.
Knight says it's time to -quote- "Take a Break", following a season with his authority appeared to be weakened after unsuccessful attempts at lobbying owners to fire coach Mike Woodson.
The 54-year old Knight was General Manager of the Grizzlies during their move to Memphis in 2001.
He engineered the Draft Day Trade which brought Pau Gasol, Lorenzen Wright, and Brevin Knight to the Grizzlies.
