New partnership has Memphis bottler back in business

The severe storm that hit Hickory Hill almost pulled the tab on a Mid-South business for good. But now Carolyn Hardy is bottling up success with a new deal.

The lines are running strong again at Hardy Bottling thanks to an New Jersey based company called Cintron Beverage.

Wednesday, that company's president Joe Roberts was in town to announce that he has signed a multi million dollar contract with Hardy to manufacture his new Cintron Liquid Energy and Teas.

Both businesses owners said their new agreement is a good fit.

"Yes it did. It was very instrumental in my staying in business, otherwise I would probably move on," Hardy said.

"Where Hardy sits in Memphis logistically, we save an astronomical amount of money. In freight, when we look at Hardy's facility, the square footage, the amount of lines produced and different packages  are second to none. Also the water. The best water in Memphis is here in Memphis," president of Cintron Beverage Group Joe Roberts said.

Roberts started Cintron Beverage Group  two years ago and is now selling products in 38-states and in South America and Africa.

Cintron officials expect to do some $40 million in sales this year.  The company's partnership with Hardy Bottling is expected to increase those numbers for next year.
