Police search for Neely's shooter

Memphis police continued their investigation Monday into an argument between two Neely's Bar-B-Que employees Friday night that lead to a shooting inside a Neely's restaurant.

According to a police report, the shooting victim, Roderick Turner, was arguing with Theopalus Johnson, a co-worker at the Neely's restaurant on Mt. Moriah in Hickory Hill.

During the argument, according to the report, Johnson pulled a gun and shot Turner.

Monday, it was not clear what the two men were arguing about, but according to the report, at least six employees witnessed the shooting.

The Neely family released a statement Monday about the incident.

"We are deeply saddened by the events of Friday night," the statement read. "  Our hopes and prayers are with our employee and his family for a speedy recovery. We have been advised that it is inappropriate for us to comment further due to the ongoing investigation by the Memphis Police Department."

Monday, Turner was upgraded to good condition.  Meanwhile, police continued to search for Johnson.
