Memphis MotorSports Park a Truck Stop Wednesday for Craftsman Series Drivers

The Nascar Craftsman Truck Series is scheduled to make its' 11th annual run here in Memphis with the O'Reilly 200 later this month.

Drivers Dennis Setzer and Stacey Compton are in town early to promote the race, and get in a little track time on the Drag Strip for fun.

Setzer has run 9-times here in Memphis, winning it all in 2001, to go along with 7 top 5 finishes.

Compton is just in his 2nd year in the trucks, after running 5-straight here in the Busch Series..

He finished second in Memphis in 2002.

Compton says:

"Short Track racing..Dennis has had a lot of success here.. We had lot of success here. It's something we want to keep going. It's what we grew up on. We love coming to place where you actually have to drive.."

Setzer ads:

"This is one of our true remaining short tracks on the Series right now. I know a lot of us guys like Stacey Compton and myself don't want to see these tracks leave. I don't think NASCAR ever wants to leave places like this."

The Nascar Craftsman Truck Series O'Reilly 200 is set for June 28th, 8pm at the Memphis MotorSports Park.
