Saturday is moving day at the TPC Southwind. At the start of play 25 players were within 3 strokes of the lead. That number was cut down to 10 when the last put dropped for the afternoon. The wind finally calmed down after wreaking havoc the first two rounds.
Sergio Garcia decided against going shoeless in the water at 15. He's 6 strokes back after a 71. Nashville's Brandt Snedeker creeps up to 11th after a 1 under 69. He had a great approach on 9 and made the birdie. Snedeker lurking at 1 under overall. Davis Love the III making just his second apperance in the last 10 years, saved par out of the fluff on 9 but drops like a rock after 3rd round 75.
Vijay Singh is hanging around. He just missed a birdie on 18 but he's only 3 strokes off the lead after a round of even par. Gavin Coles, one of the leaders at the start of play almost holed out his approach on 18, then finished with a birdie. He's two strokes back at 3 under because Tim Clark had one heck of a day. He too birdied 18 for a 6 under 64 to take a 2 stroke lead.
Here's a look at the leaderboard... Clark's in the catbird seat at 5 under. And then there's 5 players tied for second at 3 under. That group includes Masters champion Trevor Immelman...Bill Haas...Alex Cejka and Gavin Coles.
