Deer knocks Paris motorcyclist into oncoming traffic

PARIS, Tenn. (AP) - Police said a Paris man died after a deer knocked him from his motorcycle into oncoming traffic.

State trooper Michael Sullivan said 44-year-old Steven K. Parker was thrown off his Harley-Davidson by the deer early Sunday morning and struck and killed by an oncoming car on Highway 641, about six miles southeast of Paris.

The elderly couple in the car was uninjured.
