Police ask community for leads in strangling death

Memphis Police are asking for the community's help to catch a killer.

Rebecca Neeley's Hickory Hill home remains surrounded by crime scene tape while investigators work to put the pieces together.

58-year-old Neeley was found strangled to death in her spare room Wednesday night.

Hours after Neely's death, an ATM camera recorded a man as he tried to used Neely's bank card to withdraw money.

The man was also driving Neely's car, which officers later recovered.

The suspect remains at large.

Neighbors say Neeley was a very friendly woman, often seen walking her greyhounds through her Hickory Hill neighborhood.

"And it was a tragedy to hear what happened to her, you know? It was real shocking," said neighbor Tony Davis.

That tragedy has left a lot of neighbors concerned about their own safety.
