Minister gets 40-year sentence for stabbing

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (AP) - A Forrest City minister was sentenced to 40 years in prison for stabbing his estranged wife at a doctor's office waiting room.

Authorities say Thomas Holloway, 67, was found guilty of domestic battery and attempted murder charges after a two-day trial. Officials say Holloway will not be eligible for parole.

In April 2007, police arrested Holloway at a West Memphis doctor's office. Officers said Holloway walked in and told his estranged wife Linda Driver Holloway "you did me wrong" before beginning to stab her. She suffered stab wounds to her upper body, face, neck and chest during the attack.

Holloway was the pastor at the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Forrest City at the time. A message left at the church was not immediately returned Friday.
