Grizzlies Prepare for NBA Summer League

You know, It actually wasn't that long ago when the Memphis Grizzlies were in the Playoffs..

It was the 2005-'06 season to be exact..

So, now that the Grizz Demolition project is complete and the Draft is over..the team is just about ready to roll out its' training wheels squad for the Summer League beginning next week in Las Vegas.

Known names include Top Draft Pick Combo Guard O.J. Mayo, and First Round Selection Power Forward Darrell Arthur..plus Grizz veterans Mike Conley and Javaris Crittenton..

Both are in just their second year as professionals.

The rest of the Roster is made up of hopefuls from the Euroleagues or the NBDL.

They'll start 2-a-Day practices Tuesday at FedExForum..

The Grizz will play 5-games in the Vegas Summer League, beginning Friday July 11th against New Orleans.

Their July 13th game against the L.A. Lakers will be televised by NBA TV.

Grizzlies assistants Andy Greer and Dave Joerger will share Head Coaching Duties in the Summer League.

All games will be televised on a live webcast on NBA.com and the Grizzlies-Lakers contest on July 13 will be televised on NBA TV.
