3 years ago, Matt Jones was a star quarterback for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Now, the NFL wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars faces a felony drug charge in his former college town.
Jones was arrested in Fayetteville early Thursday morning after police say they spotted him inside a car cutting up cocaine with a credit card.
The police report says officers approached the 25-year-old Jones, and two others in the car.
An officer drew his handgun when Jones did not immediately show his hands.
A search of the vehicle found a plastic bag filled with 6 grams of cocaine, and a jar with possible marijuana residue.
Jones was a first-round pick in 2005, but has yet to develop into the go-to receiver the Jaguars envisioned.
