It only took a week of classes at the University of New Orleans for former Memphis Tiger Doneal Mack to realize he was homesick.
So Mack withdrew from UNO, and WILLl return to Memphis next season.
Mack's father said last month his son would be transferring after two seasons with the Tigers because he wanted more playing time.
U of M coach John Calipari is away recruiting, but released a statement saying he's happy for Mack, adding students sometimes make -quote- "illogical decisions"... and the school's administration is doing the right thing by allowing Mack to return.
Last season, the rising Junior guard played 39 games, averaging almost 7 points and 2 rebounds.
He shot 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and hit 66 three-pointers.
The Tigers won an NCAA single season Record 38-games and played for the National Championship.
