3 year old Mid-Southerner the youngest member of Mensa

She can point out any country on a globe, memorize a poem in minutes, and has dreams of becoming a doctor. She sounds normal enough for a child, but Avery Yarbro is just three years old, and one of the youngest members of Mensa.

The young girl wants to be a doctor when she grows up, and can already identify parts of the human skeleton.

She can also read and recite poetry.

Yarbro's parents attribute her smarts to good genes and older sister Kayla, another teacher at home.

"It's a beautiful thing. It's not something you have to work for. They do it naturally," Kayla said.

Avery spoke her first words at 4-and-a-half months old. She told her mom 'I love you.'

Erik and Alyssia brought her to a doctor to run tests. She is now a member of the intellectual group Mensa.

There are hundreds of thousands of members worldwide. At three, Avery is the youngest.

Mom and dad said they are proud of both daughters.

Yarbro's older sister excels in school, and her parents said they still get shocked by some of the things both Avery and Kayla already know.
