Places to go to keep out of the heat

Fans for Seniors - Aging Commission of the Mid-South

The Fans for Seniors Program provides box fans to seniors over the age of 65 and to adults with disabilities who have been referred by local agencies. The fans are purchased with funds provided by Shelby County government, as well as donations from local civic groups, businesses and individuals. Volunteers generously give of their time to deliver fans. Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division is donating additional fans for this year’s program due to the excessive heat we are experiencing. To arrange for a fan, contact the Aging Commission of the Mid-South at 901-324-3399.
