YOUR TURN: Theresa Myantt on the Bartlett exercise studio

This week's "Your Turn" segment goes to Theresa Myantt. Myantt wrote us about the Bartelett exercise studio that was shut down because of the stripper poles.

Bartlett Mayor Keith McDonald refused to let the studio open, but ultimately the City of Bartlett ended having to pay the dance studio owner $20,000 to avoid a lawsuit. Theresa Myantt blames the Mayor:

"I think the Mayor should pay the $20,000 out of his pocket. The town's people should not have to pay for his prudishness. If he thinks pole dancing is not a valid form of exercise, maybe he should take a class. It would appear his narrow mindedness is more important than physical health. Exercise is not fun for most of us, and anything that can make it more doable should be looked at as a good thing. We are, after all, the most obese country in the world.

That's Theresa Myantt's turn. Now it's your turn. To comment on this segment or anything else, email yourturn@wmctv.com or call 800-465-1210."
