West Nile Virus concerns grow

No human cases of the West Nile Virus have been reported in Shelby county or Tennessee. But concern is growing as Memphis residents continue to find dead birds in their yards.

Misty White spotted a dead robin in her backyard Monday morning. She says she's taking a natural approach when it comes to pest control and keeping mosquitoes--which can spread the virus to humans out of her garden.

"We plant a lot of sunflowers in the front and we have a lot of birds and I know blue jays eat a lot of bugs. I just hope to keep the natural chain going."

Health department officials say the one of the best way to keep mosquitoes out is to eliminate free standing water from around your house.
