Jaguars Jones Makes Plea on Coke Charge

Matt Jones makes his plea to the Judge Monday

It's Not Guilty.

The Former Arkansas Quarterback, who now plays Receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, pleaded Not Guilty to possession of a controlled substance at a court hearing in Fayetteville.

A first round Draft pick of the Jags in 2005, Jones was arrested July 10th when Police saw him in a car allegedly cutting up cocaine with a credit card.

If convicted, he faces 3-to-10 years in prison and the possibility of up to a $10-thousand dollar fine.

He now has a trial date of October 10th, 2-days before the Jaguars face Denver on the road.

Jacksonville open the season against the Tennessee Titans September first.
