Second noose found on Tennessee construction site

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Workers at a construction site for new BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee headquarters have discovered a noose for the second time this month, while on Friday workers in 10 company buildings were evacuated because of a bomb threat.

Company spokeswoman Mary Thompson told the Chattanooga Times Free Press on Thursday that the noose at the construction site was knotted into plastic banding material.

FBI Agent Ed Galloway has said an investigation was started after the first noose was discovered Aug. 7.

BlueCross spokesman Scott Wilson says police Friday were checking the 10 Chattanooga office buildings where about 4,000 employees work after a bomb threat was telephoned into the company.
