Family remembers those killed in fire in Orange Mound

Seven died and three survived this weekend's house fire in Orange Mound.

The Medical Examiner said all seven victims died from smoke inhalation and burns.

Five small children were among those killed. 4-year-old Arianna Poole, 9-year-old Diamond Poole, and 7-year-old Dajanique Poole. 5-year-old DeShaun Poole.

18-year-old Deon Poole and the mother Melissa Poole also died tragically Saturday morning. As did one-year-old Rodney Poole.
   
The family was sleeping at their home on Baltimore Street when the fire broke out.

The memorial to the seven victim's who died in Saturday's fire continues to get bigger. It is now taking over the homes entire front porch.

The two daughters who lost their mother, four siblings, niece, and nephew spoke with for the first time Tuesday. The 20 year old and 1 year old said the only reason they were not at home at the time of the fire is because they fell asleep at a friends house.

"I pray that I was here with them, it hurts so bad. I wish it was me instead of them," Danielle Poole said.

"I'm doing fine, right now.  I have to stay strong for the ones left behind. I know my family's gone to a better place," Deneshia Poole said.

Danielle and Deneshia Poole said God is giving them the strength to get through this.

Members of the World Overcomer's church came by to pray with the family members.

Darius Poole is still at the Med in fair condition. DeAndra Poole is at Le Bonheur in good condition.
