Lady Tigers Soccer Star to Canada

The Defending Conference USA Champion Memphis Lady Tigers Soccer Team opened its' season over the weekend with a 2-Nil victory over Arkansas-Little Rock..but loses one of its' top players..

Injury has nothing to do with it.

Freshman Forward Julia Ignacio of Edmonton-Alberta Canada, has been called home to train for the Under-17 Canadian National Team.

She's among 40 of Canada's top players.

Training Camp runs through September 1st.

18-players will be picked to represent Canada in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup this fall in New Zealand. 

The Lady Tigers Next Game is Friday 5pm against Alabama at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
