Both teams are banged up...but the show must go on!!!
Saturday's College Football season opener between Memphis and Ole Miss might best be played without contact on the lines.
The Tigers have a bout 5 offensive lineman hurt while the Rebels starting defensive line has been decimated.
Pre-season All-American's Greg Hardy and Peria Jerry will miss the game.
Not to mention a 3rd starter, Ted Laurent.
That's 3 of the Rebels 4 starting down lineman.
But not soo fast says head coach Houston Nutt.
There's a familiar name making his college debut who just might save the day for the Rebels.
"You're talking about the 2nd team and I think they've come a long way in the last 7 or 8 days. Especially Jerrell Powe. He's the guy everyrone asks me about and he's come a long way. He's just been away from football for awhile but he's in better shape and he's improved."
Powe, a former South Panola star, was finally declared eligible last month after a 3 year eligibility ordeal.
